Windows 7 Hits The Harry Potter
As we know, Windows 7 has beat up Apple OS X 10.6 (wellknows with code: Show Leopard) on Mashable Poll (at 7267 votes, tie 357 votes).
Even the poll is not about how good the Operating System (OS) work for user, but rather than how loyal users to the OS. For your info, it’s voted 4 days after the Windows 7 official launch release, which less user use Windows 7 know the system before they make a choice. LOL
It’s not a fight between Windows 7 and The famous Harry Potter, too. But the fact that Harry Potter’s new book become the biggest pre-order on Amazon has been breaked up by the Windows 7’s.
“The launch of Windows 7 has superseded everyone’s expectations, storming ahead of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the biggest grossing pre-order product of all-time at Amazon.co.uk, and demand is still going strong,” says Brian McBride, Amazon UK MD. [TGDaily]
It’s just a temporary chaos?
Umm.. Who knows?
But the fact that Windows 7 has make a big change in Microsoft is can’t be doubted. Windows 7 software unit sales in the U.S. increased 234% over Windows Vista’s first few days of sales.
It has been quite amazing to watch the global excitement build around Windows 7, especially during a tough economic climate. It was just a few short weeks ago that we learned about Windows 7 outselling the UK’s “own” Harry Potter.
As the official blog of Windows Team blog, in Japan, anxious PC users waited in line to be one of the first to get their hands on Windows 7. And just today, according to the NPD groups’ weekly tracking service, Windows 7 software unit sales in the U.S. increased 234% over Windows Vista’s first few days of sales. “A combination of factors impacted Windows 7 PC sales at the outset, but the trajectory of overall PC sales is very strong leading into the holiday season,” said Stephen Baker at NPD.
Keep on the good wave Microsoft!
